Secretly Rad’s Top 10 Albums of 2013

It’s that time of year again. The time where we sit down, crunching singers and songs and records, scouring the internet to make sure we have them all in our pool of candidates. After hours of mixing and matching and moving choices up, and down, and back up again. Finally, a top ten list of 2013’s most personally-loved records is flawless. And then, you accidentally stumble over to Paste.  “Oh, man, I didn’t know Get The F**k Out of my Pool (maybe our favorite joke of 2013?) put out a record this year” and everything is burned from the inside out.  Repeat. Well, we have all settled on our top ten of the year. While we mostly agree that there were far too many amazing records this year to really narrow any kind of list down, we varied on music. While the major picks of the team seemed to be Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros and The National, we saw unique features like Janelle Monae, Frank Turner and The Dear Hunter.  And what’s most interesting? Not a single one of listed Yeezus. Our sincerest apologies, Kanye.  Check out our lists below, read Shaun’s full Top 10 feature & make sure to let us know your favorite albums of the year in the comments!
